SHOWTIME - DEXTER

The set of Showtime thriller "Dexter" has been outfitted with the reckognizable photography of Michael Joseph. Joseph's B&W photographs were selected primarily do to his stark graphic images of "extraorinary views of the ordinary". His Miami Cityscapes and Minds Eye Abstract photographs can be seen in the dwelling space of the main character Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall).

Dexter is an American television drama series based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay and adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode. Set in Miami, the series centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst.

The main creative forces behind the series (showrunners) are executive producers Daniel Cerone and Clyde Phillips; Cerone left the show after its second season. The series premiered on the premium cable network Showtime on October 1, 2006. Dexter has received considerable critical acclaim and has won two Emmys in technical categories, and has also generated public controversies concerning its content and promotion. An edited version of the series began airing on CBS on February 17, 2008 to make up for the shortage of new content caused by the 2007-08 Writers Guild of America strike. Canada's CTV simulcasts episodes along with CBS, and is also airing the edited version in order to follow Canadian cable simultaneous substitution rules.

The Scene
Located in the historic Medinah Temple, meandering here is a bit of an ethereal experience--particularly on the top floor where dramatic stained glass windows set a modern-meets-historic tone. Throughout the spiraling space snooty urbanites spree shop, while tourists "ooh" and "ahh" over four floors of upper crust end tables, elaborate kitchen gadgets and baubles aplenty. Its sophisticated and surprisingly approachable staff has been trained to meet most every whim--with a smile all the while.

The Goods
The lower level features high-thread-count sheets, while the main floor caters to foodies with a penchant for kitchen chic. Upstairs levels accommodate to the newly wed and those in need of beds. While nothing here--from the sofas to the soft, fluffy towels--is cutting edge, high construction and traditional, sometimes pubby-country clubby, detailing ooze the taste of those with multiple homes.

The New York Casino is a new project of Storm International B.V. It opened in April 2005 in the center of Moscow, Bolshaya Sadovaya St., 5/1, inside the Peking hotel.

The theme of the new casino is to recreate the unique atmosphere of the city of New York. The casino design will make visitors feel they are in the streets of the city with all its characteristics, including building facades, cafes and restaurants. The interior style is art deco, which combines two and three dimensional representations. A team of top designers were entrusted to ensure the project's authenticity.
