On display are a series of photographs of New York City made during one autumn day, 19 October 2000. In the collection is the memorial image titled “In God We Trust” and an image titled “Towers of Light” that was made in March 2002, of the tribute in light. The “September 11th Memorial Banner Across America”, also known as the “We the People” project is also on exhibition.

Light & Shadows
An extraordinary view of the ordinary

This exhibition is a “Best Of” collection, featuring photographs from the past decade. It will include some never seen before images, and many well-known popular award winning images. The exhibition will offer several rare limited editions 11 x 14 inch Silver Gelatin Prints from 1995, and recent one of a kind masterpiece works measuring 48 x 66 inches. Also available will be a new Limited Edition Giclee series of 24 x 30 inch prints on cotton fiber paper.

On display will be a special selection of photographs made over the last decade from cities across America. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and other metropolitan locations with landmark buildings and skyscrapers, as you have never seen them before. This presentation will predominantly feature extremely large prints, measuring up to 4 x 5 feet.

Michael Joseph will premier his new series of LA images. This well documented city of landmark locations and buildings is photographed in his very unique perspective. Converging angles and merging shapes play together in a most fascinating composition.

The Thomas Center Gallery presents a variety of exciting exhibitions annually. This year the focus is turned to self-taught artist. Featured this month is the dynamic imagery of an exceptional photographer, Michael Joseph. Lines and light come together to transform all that we thought we know about our most common subjects, and everyday objects. He stretches the boundaries of a traditional medium, into a true artistic form.

This is a charity event benefiting Devereux Florida – a non-profit state leader in providing behavioral health care and developmental disability treatment programs for more than 2,000 children and families each week.

Miami-Dade Art in Public Places and the Miami-Dade Aviation Department announce the opening of a new exhibition titled Seeing with the Mind's Eye by Michael Joseph The images will be installed at the Concourse Gallery, Concourse E, Departure Level, Miami International Airport.
